Misty needs a home where she will be the only pet. We saved her from a local shelter within the last three weeks and she just does not want other animals around her. We have 2 Yorkies less than three pounds, and we can't have a 9 lbs cat attacking them. We don't want the dogs living in constant fear of being attacked. She is sweet 90% of the time. I recieved Lu (at the time believed to be Lucy), from a friend of a friend. "Lucy" and my female cat that I'd already had, Arielle, didn't hit it off so well. Arielle has hated him from the day we brought him home. Thus, causing some problems as you could imagine.
I'm now trying to find a home for my little Lubear that can take very good care of him. He's a great cat, but my other cat likes being an only cat and has made that quite clear. He's a lilac point, 10 months old, fixed and has had his rabies and distemper shots. He's pretty laid back, but gets a saucy streak where he wants to pounce and play. Lu loves soft fuzzy things, like fluffy blankets and robes.

My family and Iwere looking for a new addition to our familiy. We had never had a family cat before but after doing our research we found that a Ragdoll would be a good choice. We looked at several cats online and found Merlin's Hope Ragdoll Rescue. My husband, my daughter and I all went together. There were so many beautiful cats too look at. One had been with one owner his whole life, but when she passed away from old age he was placed in a kill shelter. Merlin's Hope rescued him. We were introduced to Brody and we fell in love. Brody has a condition with his eyes that make them go back and forth a little, it seems that made him a little hard to adopt him out. But I found his little condition endearing, he reminds me of one of those 1950's Cat Clocks where the eyes move back and forth. And that is how Brody got his nick name, "My Big Fat, Tick Tock Cat". Thank you Merlin's Hope, I never thought I could love a cat this much. I'm so happy we found eachother. I'm sure Brody's previous owner is looking down from Heaven smiling knowing her baby found his forever home.

Here are two beautiful sisters, with unusual markings: a cream/blue and a seal/flame tortie. Adorable! They are amazingly mellow: perfect family cats.
I'm rehoming them due to new financial and living circumstances. I live in a very small studio apartment, and have an additional cat, and I just don't have the money or space for them, heart-breaking as it is.
They are incredibly bonded, so they must go together. They love to groom each other and play together. Very entertaining. They love to sleep in their cat tree, and on the bed with you. They welcome you at the door and follow you around the house, rubbing your legs. They are great with kids. I have neighbor kids that love to hold and play with them, and they've never scratched or bitten. They like to be pet, brushed, and purr softly while sitting near you on the couch. They don't really sit in your lap though. They have been indoor only up to this point, and it would probably be best to keep them that way, for safety's sake, since they have no outdoor skills. Still, they LOVE to look out the window at the birds! They are very sweet girls, and I will miss them terribly. I want them only to go to a most loving home. Thank you! Sealpoint Ragdoll cat with beautiful blue eyes. Have paperwork, neutered. Beautiful boy, loves to be petted but not a lap cat. Gets on well with dogs and other cats. Reason for giving up, don't have the time to give him the attention he needs, I commute over 2 hours a day. Has never bitten or scratched me even if I cut his claws or give him a bath! i just have an update on my ragdoll kitty armani that i rescue from the shelter, he is doing great, i been giving him some medications for his eye infection, is gone, he is healthy,he was tiny, but has gotten bigger, but because of the lenght he had the infection at the shelter, the eye will stay cloudy, but free of irritation, so he wont feel a disconfort, no more, .......i recently rescue brought home to new ragdoll kittens home, to ad to the family, plus Armani the lucky ragdoll gets alone, really well with them, and they nap together, play , and chillaxing, ......
I love these cat food and cat water bowls that Sleepypod has introduced - so I asked them if they could send me a sample for a product review. I am late in posting this, but wanted to share their arrival nonetheless.
I love these bowls - we haven't even used them yet, but I think the concept is rad and I also love how they all fit together and the feel of them is quite fun too.

Although Charlie and Trigg don't travel much, I know a lot of readers go to cat shows with their cats and might be looking for a solution. Or even peole that might do rescue and need something to take with them on the go.
Gemma is a beautiful Blue Point Bicolor purebred Ragdoll. She is spayed and declawed. We are so sad to have to find another home for her. She was attached to my first husband before he was killed in an accident. She did fine until I remarried but now she has started marking inappropriately on our bathroom rugs. I can't help but wonder if it has to do with having a different man in the house. Gemma would probably do better in a home with only 1 other cat and where there is not a lot of stress. We have put her on medicine and she wears a pherimone collar that helps a little. She weighs about 10 pounds and is kind of skinny for a ragdoll. Her eyes are crossed but she is amazing at catching flies. She loves to sit at the back door and watch the birds every morning but she has no interest in going outside. She doesn't really like to sit on your lap. She would rather play. She will let you pet her but it has to be on her own terms. Her personality is more that of a watch dog. If there is something wrong she is the first one to let us know. We want her to go to a good home where she will be loved and taken care of and hopefully happier:) Oh and absolutely no dogs. She tried a sneak attack on a Black Mouth Cur one time. Luckily we caught her just as she jumped onto his head. She's not afraid of anything!

Jinx is 2 years old. He is a cautious boy and takes a while to warm to you, but once he does, he is a sweetheart. He stays under the bed when the house is loud, but once it is quiet, he will come sit with you to get love. He loves to be scratched and will purr and suck on his feet when he is happy. He sings to you when he wants love or food. He loves me especially and my husband, and is finally starting to warm to the children. He is not aggressive at all though, he will run and hide when he is scared. He does not seem to have any health issues. He eats Avoderm hard food and I give him a bit of Eva's canned food just so he doesn't feel left out. He has not been vetted yet and needs his shots and to be neutered.

Eva is 3 years old. She is very sweet and curious. She loves to play and wants to be wherever you are. She is a great natured girl and has never been aggressive with us or our kids. At night she splits her time between our girls beds and our room. She is scared of thunder and vacuum cleaners. She has been spayed and is utd on her shots. She also tested FELV/FIV negative. She has had a couple uti's but is doing well since she has been eating a combo of Science Diet Cd canned food (prescription) and Avoderm hard food, she will most likely need to continue the CD diet (around $20 a month for her prescription food). When her bladder was bothering her, she would urinate outside the box, but since we changed her diet, she has had no more potty issues.

I rescued Gabriel -- literally. Met this cat one month ago at the vets jammed into a zipped-up gym bag, meowing piteously. The woman was moving and intended to euthanize the cat because she thought he had fleas. The cat was her daughter's -- she found it but was no longer interested in a pet.
This is a beautiful feline, really top notch. But I already have six cats and a dog. Gabriel is very friendly but I wouldn't put him in a home with young children. Seal point with beautiful markings -- could be a show cat.

his beautiful pure bred blue point Rag Doll was surrendered by it's lifelong family to WCAC.....she is devastated and will not eat or drink. She has 24 hours for someone to rescue her. Though we are a Dog Rescue...we are happy to sponsor this girl if anyone is willing to foster....or what would be more wonderful is if we could network and find someone to adopt her!!!! She is 12 years old...which would be old for a dog, but is mid-life for most indoor kitties!!!! She is very healthy and blood work was done yesterday which came back great....but without eating or drinking the shelter will be forced to make a decision for her. Spread the word to your cat lover friends and let's see if we can help out another four legged friend. Beautiful pure bred Ragdoll cat. Specifically, a Blue Bi-Color Ragdoll. One look and you will fall in love! This cat is our second Ragdoll as we love their floppy, easy going manor. We purchased him from a breeder, but regretfully can no longer keep him.
Schroeder had a bit of trouble with forming crystals in his bladder early on, which were remedied by changing his diet to moist mixed with a bit of water. He can not have dry food. This has posed a problem with our older Ragdoll, who refused to eat when only moist was served, and lost several pounds. So, we feed them separately, but Schroeder is aware of being kept from the dry food and is jealous. This is causing him to act out by not using his litter box that the two share.
He us on meds for behavior modification, but I feel he would be happier if he did not have to be in a home with other cats. He gets along well and is very playful, but very jealous and it is unavoidable.
Schroeder has some endearing behaviors like standing on his back feet and stretching up his paws to you like a bear, or sleeping in any position. He is well groomed, and still has a kitten face although he is a big cat, as most Ragdolls are. He loves to be in the same room with you, and will lay nearby. I am praying for a good home for Schroeder, where he is a loved member of the family. He is great with kids, but easy going as he is, the kids should be watched to not hurt him. He is not declawed, and has a scratching post that he lives and uses instead of furniture. Any other use if his claws seems to be purely accidental as he stretches them or plays.

Today we received a package in the mail from Earthing.com. Earthing is the idea that grounding helps to protect the health of the body. We were sent one of these to check out after I had inquired with Martin Zucker about doing an interview with him about cat allergies, as requested by MeLinda of Merlin's Hope Ragdoll and Maine Coon Rescue.
Marty is now involved with Earthing.com and co-wrote the book about Earthing. So we got to talking and he offered to send one for me to check out.
Before Marty sent it, he mentioned in an e-mail, "It works quite well for indoor pets who have no access to the Earth's ground energy outside. They will often plop right on it and get energized. From the feedback we have, animals are drawn to the energy. You may see some results particularly for older infirm animals."

Hi....I lost my rescue tiger stripe kitty at age 18 years old and REALLY wanted another Kitty. I did a bit of looking on the internet and found the Ragdoll Breed facinating! A quick look at breeders and prices dampened my spirits!...So, I decided to look for a rescue locally. I used PETFINDER.COM and registered a search. I live in Northern Kentucky and it appeared there were very few Ragdolls in this area. I waited patiently for monthes...then one day I got a hit...a male Ragdoll in Indiana, a 2 hour drive, in a "pound" (hi-kill shelter). That Saturday my hubby and I set off to go get "Rodger"(what a dumb name for this kitty!) We arrived to find a very "ratty-looking" intact male with abcesses from fighting or defending himself...he had been found out on the streets and turned in.....I reluctantly accepted him ($25.00) and off to home we go! The following 3 days were pure hell! He hid and marked Everywhere!!! We were unaware he had only had dry kibble and he was dehydrated and his urine aweful!..... A week of antibiotics, neutered, and wet food and I FOUND My Prince! And what a sweety he is! "Rodger" is now "Dakota Blue" and such a good kitty! As you can see from his pictures, he is quite the Character! I still have my search on Petfinders, perhaps I can find him a buddy or girl-friend! Happy ending for all! :)
