Litter Kwitter Video

Saturday, August 6, 2011 by Amanda W
Anyone can kid themselves into thinking that cleaning the litter box is not that bad, but once the truth comes out it truly is a dreaded yet necessary chore. Or is it? There are hundreds of Ragdoll books that describe how smart and cooperative the breed is, but what was recently on television made the litter training mentioned in many of the books seem archaic and useless.

What is being alluded to is the idea that a Bicolor Ragdoll, well any cat can be toilet trained.  This means no more smelly cat litter pans to clean every few hours. The amazing Litter Kwitter video and systemLitter Kwitter Video systematically allows your cat to stop using the litter box and become comfortable using the toilet.  This means no more smell, germs, spilled litter messes, or hassle.

The system was developed by behavior analysts and the seat attachment fits most standard size toilets.  The easy to follow instructions will make training your cat easier then training a child. No matter the age of the cat it is said that in eight weeks of less the cat should be trained to use the toilet.

This product has been advertised on television, but can be ordered online.  So let your fingers do the shopping and add a Litter Kwitter to your next order of cat snacks and cat feather toys.  Keep your kitten clean, healthy, and well trained.

Manufacturer: Litter Kwitter

You can purchase the Litter Kwitter Toilet Training System at Amazon.com for 49.90 & this item ships Free with Super Saver Shipping.

Catit Fresh & Clear Drinking Fountain for Cats

Tuesday, July 26, 2011 by Amanda W
My Ragdoll cat, Grady, is my pride and joy. I like to reward his warm companionship withCatit Fountain quality food and cat toys. I recently learned that stagnant water is a breeding ground for germs and bacteria and these could be living in Grady’s water dish. Though I change his water often, I felt much better when I found the CatIt Fresh and Clear Drinking Fountain for Cats. This unique water dish provides Grady with a continuous supply of fresh and clean water.  I like that the re-circulated water gets plenty of exposure to oxygen with the larger dish because this leaves the water fresher and tastier for Grady. The replaceable filter   purifies the water by taking out impurities that are in tap water as well as food, fur and debris that tend to migrate to his bowl. The Catit Fresh and Clear Drinking Fountain for Cats has a large capacity for water and because the filter keeps the water so clean, I don’t have to change it every day.

I was concerned that the Catit Fresh and clear Drinking Fountain for Cats was electric. However, the unit operates at a low 12 voltages and uses less than 4 watts which makes this product energy efficient.  There is a protective plastic cord cover to keep the cord from contacting the water as well as to keep Grady from chewing the cord.

You can buy the Catit Fresh and Clear Drinking Fountain for Cats at Amazon.com for $32.29.

Does your Ragdoll use the Catit Fresh and Clear Drinking Fountain? How does your cat like it? Tell fellow cat lovers what cat products you like over in our Ragdoll Cat Forum.

well let me start by saying that my lucky is not a ragdoll, he is a himi .
I have been raising cats since i was a child then i got older and life took over my love for cats .
I got married and I have two wonderful kids but life was tough torward me and lost three other little babys each in a time . the third boy died last Feb after i gave birth to him . i was empty ,depressed and felt a hole in my heart that when i remembered my old love CATs .
I started looking for a breed that can offer me love and lots of it that when i discovered the ragdolls. i started searching for them in my country but there were no sign of one .So i started looking for a cat that may look like a rag and i found my lucky.
He has been with me for only a week and i fell in love with him already. He has those amazing light sky blue color eyes and soft coat . He purrrrrrrrrs and purrrrs all the time and loves to play ball . He love taking BATHS and took one today so he is shiny and smells great now :)
He loves everyone and comes running when he sees me with his tail up saying Hiiiiii
It may not be a ragdoll but I am so happy i got lucky in my family and my heart is soo much better now.

P.S I will try to post other pictures for Lucky next time :)

Wellness Cubed Sliced and Minced Grain Free Canned Cat Food Arrive for a Floppycats.com Review

Saturday, July 2, 2011 by Jenny Dean
Wellness Cubed Sliced and Minced Grain Free FoodWe were contacted by the PR company that represents Wellness Pet Food and asked if we were interested in trying out their new Cubed, Minced and Sliced grain free canned cat food.

They sent us the following flavors:
  • Minced Chicken Dinner in gravy
  • Sliced Salmon Entree
  • Cubed Tuna Entree
  • Cubed Turkey and Salmon Entree
We're excited to give them a try. Since I have two cats and only got one can of each flavor I couldn't really figure out more than if they liked it.

Here's a video I shot of the cats when we opened the package:

Have your cats tried this food?  How'd they like it?

Trapped - Extra Entry For Our July Giveaway - Pink Kritter Kondo Deluxe

Friday, July 1, 2011 by Ragdoll Cat Stories
TrappedI have taken Raya outside with me when I garden and she has stayed nearby. It was never a problem. For whatever reason, she decided she needed to get outside (her brother helped) and tore open a screen. It took me a day or so to figure out how she kept getting out (she kept showing up at the front door wanting in). No matter what I put in front of the hole, she moves it. She has even slid a heavy fan out of the way. She never wants out for longer than 15 minutes, but I live on a busy street and she's very pretty so it worries me. She needs a getaway house.

Shaman and Taliesin Want the Pink Kritter Combo Deluxe

Friday, July 1, 2011 by Ragdoll Cat Stories
Ragdoll CatI have several personal cats (not counting the rescue cats), but my Snowshoe Taliesin and my Seal Point Ragdoll mix Shaman LOVE to go outside, but since we don't let them go outside without supervision, they don't get to outside very often. With this, they could go outside daily and enjoy the hot Texas weather. We NEED this outdoor enclosure.

Forget the Fancy Feast Persian!

Friday, July 1, 2011 by Ragdoll Cat Stories
KittenI entered in all the other ways so my this might be familiar!

I have always wanted a cat, but my parents worried about the typical cat attitude problems such as scratching, yowling, and attacking other animals. However, Cosette has completely dismissed all of these myths. She has become not just my pet, but my best friend. My parents are currently divorcing and my mother and I are moving overseas. I am leaving behind a school I have attended for 10 years and life long friends, but I am confident it will be okay because Cosette will be there for me. Among the change and conflict, Cosette has been a pillar of stability, love, and laughter. She warms my heart when she paws at me to pick her up and makes me laugh when she randomly likes a status on facebook when playing on my keyboard. Cosette loves watching Madeline, a child's show about 12 little french girls in Paris. When the bells chime in the intro she perks up and likes to bat at that birds that fly across the screen. She will sit on my desk and watch it for hours. Cosette has truly changed my life and even my family. One thing everyone agrees about in my family is that Cosette is adorable!

Mom won't let us go outside - We Need the Pink Kritter Kondo Deluxe

Friday, July 1, 2011 by Ragdoll Cat Stories
Ragdoll and Domestic Short HairBaby was found on the window ledge of my mom's house. Once she was brought inside, that's where she stays. She sits and looks out at the birds and (I think) wishes she could be out there but since she's in her forever home, that is where she will stay to be safe. This would allow her to remember when she was a little girl, free in the world (I guess).

When Kitties go bad - Cat Drinking Beer

Friday, July 1, 2011 by Ragdoll Cat Stories
Cat Drinking BeerMy son brought me home a kitten he found in a dumpster. She was 10 ounces and required bottle feeding round the clock. 10 months later she's a happy healthy addition to our 3 cat family. Apparently she's still attached to the bottle when I caught her helping herself to a guests beer.

My Miracle Floppy Kitty

Friday, July 1, 2011 by Ragdoll Cat Stories
Miracle Floppy KittyI had always wanted a Ragdoll Cat once I watch Animal Plant show 101 Cats. At that time my husband and I had a very wonderful cat name Chelsea who would not have put up with any other cat in her home, as she was the queen. I knew I would have to wait for a long time before I would be getting a Ragdoll kitten.

We lost Chelsea when she was 14 to cancer. I was just heartbroken, I told my husband “I could not bring in another cat into Chelsea home”. Has time passed I began to miss being greeted at the door when I come home from work. So, began my adventure on getting a Ragdoll kitten. At last I found the sweet face seal point kitten. Then the fun began, what will her name this little one. My husband wanted to call her Chelsea, I did not. We end up naming her Kelsea. Then the day came we could go get our newest member of our family. What a joy that day was.

We had Kelsea for 4 weeks and she got real sick. We had to rush her Mass Vet Referral hospital in Woburn, Ma. Her red blood count was down to 13. The vet, Dr. Haber was very concern we might loss her. After 2 blood transfers she start to get better. How we had to find out why she got so sick. The vets at Mass Vet start talking about it could be FeLV. I told Dr. Haber there was no way that this little girl has FeLV, her test was negative when I brought her to my vet. Dr. Haber told me she thought it was in the bone marrow and if that the case the test would be negative as it not in the blood yet. Dr. Haber ask if they could do a bone marrow aspiration to confirm that it was or was not FeLV. The next day we got the bad news that it was FeLV. I don’t think I cry that much ever. Dr. Haber was not going to give her long to live as she was so young.

Well it been 7 mouths and Kelsea is over a year now. For a kitten that should not be alive now she going Great. She weights over 10 lbs and she full of piss and vinegar. Kelsea is one crazy kitty running all over the house flopping where she wants. She a true love bug when she and sit still long enough. Most of the time she off running from one end of the house to the other, looking out the window at the birds and chipmunks in the yard.

Dr. Haber calls her the miracle kitty and looks forward to seeing Kelsea each and every visit just to see how well she doing. I think Kelsea looks forward to seeing Dr. Haber as well. How many cats do you know just go into their cat carrier without a fight. My little Kelsea see me bring out the carrier and cannot wait to get in.

We don’t know what the future holds for this little girl, but we are taking it one day at a time with her and just loving her. She give unbelievable love back to us. There not a day go by she does not make me smile. I have learn FeLV is not always a death sentence. And with love and prayers all is possible even for our little fur babies.

Ragdoll CatBoth Freyr and Freya need this. Freya practically climbs the window screen (now the pesky mosquitoes can get in). The outdoor tent I have for them doesn't play well with me. (I have trouble closing it up and putting away) this is also bigger then that tent. Don't care about the colour Freyr is surrounded by females at the moment, that will change when little Blaze gets here

Mal, my 7 month old flame point Ragdoll, Wants An Automatic Cat Litter Box!

Friday, June 24, 2011 by Ragdoll Cat Stories
Flame Point Ragdoll CatI am writing to tell you about Mal, my 7 month old flame point ragdoll. Mal was a rescue from a hoarding situation. My husband and I found Mal posted on a rescue website when he was 4 months old. We instantly fell in love with him. We had been looking for a ragdoll as we wanted a big cuddly cat. When we went to meet him, Mal was so shy and afraid of everything. Mal got his name from the captain from Firefly, the TV show; because as Mal grew we started to learn that he loved to talk. He would meow and chat with everyone, he even talks to his food bowl while he is eating. Mal’s favorite thing to do is to play peak-a-boo with our 90lbs lab. They play for hours! He even plays tag with him.

I think that Mal would really enjoy the automatic litter box and thank you for considering him.

Ragdoll Cat Adoption:FOUND cat Cocoa Pines neighborhood

Friday, June 24, 2011 by Ragdoll Rehoming Team
Ragdoll Cat - FOUNDThis is a FOUND posting. Elizabeth (as we call her) was first seen in Cocoa Pines neighborhood about May 2011 - she was caught and had kittens about June 2011 - she was underfed and malnourished and lost all her kittens. WE have since had her spayed. She is a very charming and personable Siamese Ragdoll cat and I'm sure someone misses her. Unfortunately someone in the neighborhood is one of those people who take in everyones cats - while she denies taking in this cat, we are afraid that Elizabeths previous owners think she is in good hands. Well she was not but now we are taking very good care of her...if you know or have seen this cat let me know!
