Last week, I was introduced to a pet product company that makes a lot of neat things for your pet with cardboard.

I'm always on the lookout for pet products that can be cat playpens, cat gyms and cat beds at the same time.

When I saw the Loyal Luxe Native American Teepee - I was immediately attracted to it.

So I requested one for a product review and received it the very next day! I think the reason it came so fast is because I live in Kansas City and it shipped from St. Louis.

The first thing about this company is that I am fascinated by their website - you must go check Loyal Luxe out - it is so interesting - it's one video after another of cats and dogs playing with their products. So in a way, their products end up being interactive cat toys as well.

The Teepee comes completely folded down and you end up putting it together - which ends up taking about 5 minutes or less - it's very easy.

Caymus and Neko Flies Interactive Cat Toys

Caymus visited this weekend, which was nice of my mom to relinquish him, so that Charlie, Trigg and I could have some fun with him.

I am really absolutely in love with Neko Flies interactive cat toys. You might recall the product review we did on Neko Flies.

They are the best cat toy as far as cat wand toys are concerned.

In the photos Caymus is playing with the Neko Flies Large Kittenator - which happens to be my favorite Neko Flies - and then in the video (below) he is playing with the Neko Flies Karantula.

Neko Flies are just classy and well-made and well, the cats adore them. I think that's what has made me love them so. It is also one of the toys I can use to get them to have a lot of exercise without running around with them. It's a great toy to have if you watch TV after dinner or something like that because you can sit on the couch and wear out your cat.

Of course, another great idea this season is to buy the Neko Flies interactive cat toy for a friend of yours who has a cat. Or you can buy your own kitty a special holiday gift. I swear these are right up any cat's alley.

These are especially great if you are going out of town and you have a pet sitter coming to take care of your cats - this is great way for the cat sitter to interact with your cat.

Here's Caymus - the most docile and laid back cat I know - playing with Neko Flies - please know this video shows more energy coming out of Caymus than he exerts on a yearly basis.

Dog Spinny - Update

You might recall that we received the Dog Spinny in the mail - it's an interactive cat toy for training cats.

Charlie is slowing learning on how to master this thing and I am really enjoying the process because I feel like he has to work for his dry food.

I honestly need to get him off of dry food altogether, but I cannot see the harm in it when it is used as gourmet cat treats for him.

If your cat or dog is food motivated, then it is easy to train them on the Dog Spinny - basically you just wait until they are hungry and then place three pieces of food in each of the compartments - and show them how to get to the next compartment. Once they have mastered that, then you place the white plastic bone that comes with the Dog Spinny as an extra challenge to get it out.

Honestly, I don't know if Charlie is entertained by this or more just annoyed that the bone is in his way for eating. He sorta looks at me like, "I never had to work this hard for food before! What the hell!"

The Company of Animals

Today we completed a Floppycats.com Product Review on the Dog Spinny by The Company of Animals.

It is an interactive cat toy that is used for cat training and dog training for that matter. In fact, it doesn't have an idealic name for cat training, but that's alright.

I really enjoyed product testing the Dog Spinny. It was an opportunity for Charlie and I to do additional bonding and also for me to learn more about his personality.

The thing I have really liked that we gained out of this process is that Charlie now runs to the Dog Spinny if he is hungry. I like that he challenges his mind and burns calories while he is on the hunt for his cat snacks - or better known as cat food!

Neko Flies - Interactive Cat Toys Received For A Floppycats.com Product Review!

Ellen from Neko Flies contacted us about doing a product review of their interactive cat toys for the site. When I took a look at the Neko Flies, I was immediately game for the proposal because I knew Trigg would enjoy them. However, even when I am not sure Charlie and Trigg might or might not like a product, I usually take it to see how they will react - only, of course, if it is safe for them!

The Neko Flies are really neat - it seems to be based off of the idea of Fly Fishing - where there is a pole and then various interchangeable toys that you can change out.

The Cat Fancy Editors' chose the Neko Flies in 2009 for their international award! You can buy Neko Flies toys on their website.

What's also neat about Neko Flies is that they have just announced a charitable initiative where they donate a portion of their sales to support organizations that bring positive changes to enhance the quality of life of cats and dogs that need our help the most.

The Dog Spinny Arrived Today!

We were excited when FedEx rang the doorbell today with the Dog Spinny Toy in hand. The Dog Spinny is a great way to train your kitty to fetch cat snacks from hidden compartments.

I've been looking for cat toys online that help to entertain your kitty - Charlie gets very bored and since I work from home, he comes and asks for my attention on a regular basis. I love his energy, but I find that if I pay too much attention to him then I don't get any work done! Believe me, I'd love to spend all day playing with my cats, but it simply isn't possible right now - as much as I'd love for it to be.

Nina Ottosson's Interactive Dog Spinny Toy is sold by the Company of Animals and retails for about $30.

Some of the positives about this toy is that it requires mental and physical dexterity to work and potentially could provide hours of entertainment for Charlie and Trigg!
