We have reviewed other Frolicat cat toys like their BOLT and the SWAY, so when I heard that they had a new Frolicat TWITCH, I wanted to give it a try! They were nice enough to send one off to us!

The TWITCH is an interactive cat toy that bounces and swings a teaser toy (we got a red soft ball with feathers sticking out of it) - it is electronic - so it requires 3 AAA batteries to operate. There is a button on the top of the device that you press to make it move - you can also set it to move throughout the day by holding it down for a bit.

Charlie and Trigg were immediately attracted to it, the teaser toy and the entire thing put together!

Nintendogs + Cats for the Nintendo 3DS console is a real time pet simulator game that allows you to raise kittens and puppies into cats and dogs. Just like the old Nintendogs game, this one comes in three versions, each with a set of breeds already unlocked plus the potential to unlock new breeds as you progress and interact with your canine or feline friends. Each cartridge has nine different breeds, including the dog in the title plus three types of cat.

The three Nintendogs starter packages are; French Bulldog and friends, Golden Retriever and friends and Toy Poodle and friends. Cats are included in all the games but to access them you must go to the kennel and choose your first puppy.

Give your puppy a name and teach it basic commands, such as sitting. Earn money through tasks and activities and you will then be allowed to return to the kennel to select a kitten.

There isn't such a wide choice of cats available because the focus of Nintendo 3DS Dogs + Cats is biased somewhat towards dog lovers. However, you can choose from three different types of kitten (the choice of cats is the same in each version of the game). Pick a standard striped tabby, oriental short-haired or long-haired kitten and take it home.

Interact and care for your cat for rewards. Unlike dogs, kittens rarely do as they are told and spend much of the time playing, napping and climbing cat scratching poles. You cannot teach cats tricks, but if you buy them special kitten food and toys they will purr. Occasionally your new kitten will bring you a gift if you give them plenty of attention.

Earn money by entering competitions with your pet and spend it on pampering your puppy. There are six shops in the Nintendo 3DS Dogs + Cats where you can buy accessories, food, clothes and furniture and there is even a pet hotel.

The 3DS dogs and cats can recognise their owners using the video camera in the console and react to you as you move around. Speak in to the microphone to give voice commands and train your puppy to follow instructions and prepare for competitions.

Make friends with other pet owners out and about in the game and share information using the Nintendo 3DS StreetPass technology to interact with people in the real world as you pass by them in the street, on the bus or at school – even when your DS is closed. The more stuff you share with other gamers, the more accessibility you get in the game allowing you to unlock new breeds and cool toys and accessories.

Nekochan to Promote and Support the Innovative 'Enrichment Team' of the St. Francis Animal Rescue

Last March 11, 2011 in Blaine, WA, Nekochan donated $1,300 worth of its award-winning Neko Flies Interactive Cat Toys to the St. Francis Animal Rescue Center in order to enhance the shelter's successful socialization program called the 'Enrichment Team'.

The so-called 'Enrichment Team' is composed of pre-teens and teens from local schools who volunteers to spend time every week to take care of 3-4 cats that needed utmost social skills to become more adoptable to the adopting families. At the same time, the young volunteers also gets the chance to learn compassion, take responsibility and simply for being part of this big difference they are making not only for the cats but also for the adopting families.

Nekochan chose St. Francis Animal Rescue to be their recipient since both organizations have almost the same mission and vision. St. Francis was founded in 1992 by a group of women who has the passion of helping out feral cats and into becoming a non-profit organization a year later. In 1996, St. Francis purchased a property to be able to accommodate cageless shelter/adoption center and a thrift store. The non-profit organization is a volunteer run organization that cares for lifetime resident cats, adoptable cats, kittens and foster cats in the community.

Nekochan noticed St. Francis' dedication to help aid homeless cats have been very impressive and became more stronger as time passes by. Nekochan's President Ellen Tsuyuki really hopes that the number of cats adopted at St. Francis would largely increase giving the benefit of having a loving home and with all the donated toys. Nekochan believes that this E-Team inspirational program should be a model one for many other shelters all throughout the world. Nekochan will be spreading the word at the up upcoming Global Pet Expo in Orlando, Florida March 16-18, 2011.

We Received Yeowww! My Cats Balls For Product Testing

When it comes to cats on catnip, Yeowww! knows how to get it done. They make hands down the best catnip toy I have ever come across, the Yeowww! Catnip Banana - ain't notin' betta my friends...

So when they announced that they came out with Yeowww! My Cats Balls - I definitely wanted to check them out.

You can buy Yeowww! cat toys online through a store like Cat Connection or you can check out the store locator on Ducky World's website to see what independent pet store near you might carry them.

Charlie and Trigg couldn't keep their heads out of the box when I opened it - that pungant odor of catnip - the organic kind that Yeowww! throws in the box is hard to avoid - I know! I've seen it too many times with kitties.

The balls are the size of a hacki sack and are stuffed full of catnip - nothing else. That's what I like about Yeowww! They do not stuff their toys with any fillers or anything like that. Which I also love because if they end up breaking open the toy, there is nothing they can swallow (like foam stuffing) that will hurt them. So I can be confident to leave them on the floor when I am gone and not worry about it.

After Charlie and Trigg had a go with the Yeowww! My Cats Balls, I decided to take them to my parents' house, so that Caymus and Murphy could check them out. They did the same thing as Charlie and Trigg and stuck their heads in the box that the Yeowww! My Cats Balls came in.

I wasn't able to get a video of them playing with them (well, because I was in a hurry and wanted to get some decent photos first), but I will go over again and bring the balls (and leave them this time) and see how they react - although I can pretty much assume they will react the same as they do with other DuckyWorld catnip toys.

Dog Casino Interactive Cat Toy Arrives For Product Testing Review

Today we received two packages from FedEx, the first one was the Nina Ottosson Dog Casino interactive cat toy. We have already product tested The Company of Animals' Dog Spinny also by Nina Ottosson and will be posting our review of the Dog Brick this coming Tuesday, so this is the next level up from the Dog Brick and I am anxious for Charlie to get trained on this one.

Since Charlie is food motivated, these games work out very well for him.

Similar to the board game Monopoly, this feline-themed game allows you to buy your favorite cats such as the Tonkinese, the Ragdoll cat, the Abyssinian, the Sphinx, and the Maine Coon. If you land on the Catnip section, you'll get to collect everything in the center of the board. Isn't that fun?

Cat-opoly Board Game can be enjoyed and played by two to six players who can move around the board using one of the six cute and tiny tokens: Milk Bottle, Cat Food, Sardines, Fish, Mouse, and a Ball of Yarn. A player can collect as many Litter Boxes as

he/she can and have them traded in for Fish Bones, but you may have to pay a dog tax to get past the neighborhood bully; the spike-collared bulldog.
