I am a sucker for a good deal, but when it comes to my Blue Lynx Mitted Ragdoll I am a sucker for a furry body snuggled next to my feet. I will buy my boy just about anything I think he would enjoy. I do not know how many feather cat toys he has played into submission over the past few years or how many cat climbing trees have finally given in and fell apart.

My most recent searches have revolved around finding a place for my furry little boy to chill out and nap or play. I want a cat home and bed, but prefer something unique. I ran across several products on ETSY that were perfect. First was this Cats&Pods that is environmental friendly. It is a pod that allows my guy to scratch, rest, and hide whenever he wants.

The other two ETSY shops I found were also awesome. ModPet offers

a range of modern cat furniture including some amazingly shaped food bowls that have a modern flair. As vintage is becoming the new modern, CANOPYStudio offers great designs on and off of great pieces for your furry friend.

I love my Blue Lynx Mitted Ragdoll but he is not that friendly with my furniture or maybe he is too friendly, either way he spends a great deal of time sharpening his claws on the corner of my new couch. I had had enough when I found the first small prick in the material. I bought a small scratching post but my boy was not interested. Top 5 Reasons I Prefer Sisal Cat Scratching Posts Over Carpet Ones

I really never know that carpet scratching posts were a problem until I started doing this website.

Of course, I always thought they were uglier than sin, but I didn't think they were bad, per say

Here are the top 5 reasons I prefer sisal cat scratching posts over carpet ones:

Sisal is not a common material found throughout your house and therefore you probably don't have furniture made out of sisal or have sisal on your stairs. Carpet on the other hand is probably on your stairs and is probably on your floor. So as far as the cat is concerned, the carpet on your scratching post and the carpet on your stairs is the same and both fair game.
Carpet is just ugly - stop using it.
Cat climbing trees with sisal allow cats to climb more easily, not to mention that sisal seems to last about 3 times as long as carpet.
Carpet scratching posts are probably one of the big reasons why people declaw cats and also one of the reasons they get rid of them - because they are taught destructive behavior. If I could eliminate carpet scratching posts I would.
They are UGLY - yes, again!!

The New Nintendogs + Cats for the Nintendo 3DS

Nintendogs + Cats for the Nintendo 3DS console is a real time pet simulator game that allows you to raise kittens and puppies into cats and dogs. Just like the old Nintendogs game, this one comes in three versions, each with a set of breeds already unlocked plus the potential to unlock new breeds as you progress and interact with your canine or feline friends. Each cartridge has nine different breeds, including the dog in the title plus three types of cat.

The three Nintendogs starter packages are; French Bulldog and friends, Golden Retriever and friends and Toy Poodle and friends. Cats are included in all the games but to access them you must go to the kennel and choose your first puppy.

Give your puppy a name and teach it basic commands, such as sitting. Earn money through tasks and activities and you will then be allowed to return to the kennel to select a kitten.

There isn't such a wide choice of cats available because the focus of Nintendo 3DS Dogs + Cats is biased somewhat towards dog lovers. However, you can choose from three different types of kitten (the choice of cats is the same in each version of the game). Pick a standard striped tabby, oriental short-haired or long-haired kitten and take it home.

Interact and care for your cat for rewards. Unlike dogs, kittens rarely do as they are told and spend much of the time playing, napping and climbing cat scratching poles. You cannot teach cats tricks, but if you buy them special kitten food and toys they will purr. Occasionally your new kitten will bring you a gift if you give them plenty of attention.

Earn money by entering competitions with your pet and spend it on pampering your puppy. There are six shops in the Nintendo 3DS Dogs + Cats where you can buy accessories, food, clothes and furniture and there is even a pet hotel.

The 3DS dogs and cats can recognise their owners using the video camera in the console and react to you as you move around. Speak in to the microphone to give voice commands and train your puppy to follow instructions and prepare for competitions.

Make friends with other pet owners out and about in the game and share information using the Nintendo 3DS StreetPass technology to interact with people in the real world as you pass by them in the street, on the bus or at school – even when your DS is closed. The more stuff you share with other gamers, the more accessibility you get in the game allowing you to unlock new breeds and cool toys and accessories.

I’d love to win this scratching post for Diamond and Mellow. They have three scratching posts, but have almost shredded all the sisal. I’ve been looking for a new scratching post, but all the quality ones are expensive. This would be great for them! It would be something new for them to scratch on and there’s a great spot for it in my living room. When I brought Mellow home, he didn’t know how to use the vertical scratching posts, but learned how from Diamond. Now he uses them as much as she does.
They deserve to win because they are sweet, intelligent and playful cats. They love scratching on different surfaces, but have never, not even once scratched up my furniture or the carpets. This is a great giveaway and thank you for the opportunity.
